Yesterday I mentioned I’d tell you about another side effect of exercise that I’ve experienced.
But first, a quick run down of today’s routine. I decided to repeat the Gyroboard beginner’s workout for a third day. So I did. However today I was finding the exercises easier to do, so I added more reps into each set, including the weights. By the end of my 30 minutes I felt like I had achieved a good work out.
I’ve posted the above video to give you an idea of what you can do when you add dumbbells to your routine. Please remember that these videos are to be used for information purposes only. Should you wish to utilise these exercises for your own core strength and injury prehabilitation training, please do so after consulting with qualified professionals, such as sports coaches, personal trainers, or physiotherapists.
It doesn’t actually take too many sessions to start feeling and even seeing the benefits of the Gyroboard. When you get onto the deck and start warming up, I’m told that you are actually using every muscle in your body. That sounds pretty good to me.
Now to the other side effect of exercise. I am a self confessed chocoholic. In the past, when stress gets too much, I reach for some chocolate or other sweet comfort food. But since I’ve started exercising, my desire for comfort food has been reduced dramatically! So this is another side effect that can be added to the increased energy, motivation and focus.
Surely that’s not a bad thing, is it?
